AUNT BERTA'S KITCHEN

Ordered from here tonight. A friend and I decided to order some food on GrubHub and chose this place. We weren’t sure what to expect but the menu looked good. First off the portions were very good with everything. So all together we ordered some fried chicken with black eyed peas w rice and cabbage. Ridiculous!!!! Every seasoned like somebody’s grandma was back there seasoning the chicken with a brown paper bag cause it was as and I mean everything. Also the smothered pork chops with candied yams . We also ordered the strawberry banana pudding but I guess they were out cause we didn’t get it. We were pleasantly surprised and was glad we ordered from here. We will be ordering again soon. I called the shop after we ate to compliment the owner and chefs but they had just closed. So if the owners see this let me say... GREAT JOB!!!! Reminded me of that good down home cooking.

Got a chance to try a meal from here. Had 2 pieces of chicken, a rib, Mac, and yams. It was also cabbage on the side but I’m not a big cabbage fan. chicken had great flavor and you know the Mac and yams combo never misses . Oh yeah the koolaid! Reminded me of my grandma.

The customer service is A . I was greeted when I walked in. The food smelled good and the location looked clean. I was pleased with the ordering process as well as the menu selection. It looks like they tried to cover all the "soul food" options. We purchased the family whiting fish meal with 3 large sides of potato salad, seafood salad and collard greens. The fish is good . The seafood salad is good.

Everything here is always good! I usually get the smothered pork chops with two sides. I’ve had all of their sides and they all are really good. Cant go wrong with any of them. Their catfish is really good as well and is cooked to order! They have a wide variety of desserts and the customer service is always friendly.They never disappoint. One of the few places in northern Delaware that have alot of flavor in their food and isnt bland. 1000% better than that L&G soul food place up the road.

Aunt Berta's Kitchen ! Wow! What a wonderful blessing has this establishment meant to my family. When we finally decided to come in and check the place out, it was truly mind blowing. Everything was delicious, hot, tasty, beautiful and the store was clean and also a friendly and respectful place. So my niece was graduating from college in May and we decided to give her a graduation party! And let me tell you, that the party was a HUGE SUCCESS! NOT JUST FROM THE PLANNING WE DID, BUT AUNT BERTA'S KITCHEN CATERED FOOD WAS ABSOLUTELY THE THE TALK OF THE PARTY! THANK YOU, FOR SHARING YOUR TALENT. THE EVENT WILL BE FOREVER REMEMBERD, AND WE WILL BE CONTINUING CUSTOMERS!!!

You have to try it. Will definitely make you want more after 1 taste.

We got take out from here and it was delicious. The best mac and cheese ever too. The food was so good and I would give more stars if I could.

My family rate our dinner today 10 out of 10. Already planning what to try on our next visit! Absolutely recommend. My favs today were the cajun turkey wing, fried fish, candied yams, mac n cheese, rice and gravy, cabbage, collard greens, and the pound cake -it's a yes please for me.
